World Literature (4/28)
Take some time to think about the topic you have chosen for your Final Creative Research Project. What interests you about this topic? Out of the three options (poem, letter, or photo essay) which one have you chosen to represent your researched topic? What made you choose the one you did?

Id rather do a photo essay because i like to look at pictures. I think by doing the photo essay it would be a lot more fun and easier.
ReplyDeleteWell the topic I chose was the genocide during the conflict in Bosnia. I don't really know why I picked this topic. I think it's just because I know next to nothing about it. I had heard little whiffs here and there but I had never learned about it, so I am taking this opportunity to do so.
ReplyDeleteI am probably going to end up making a poem about the genocide. Perhaps it will be a little more prose-like than a poem that comes to mind, but it will be short like a poem; I will choose my words carefully so that each word carries an exact and heavy meaning.
Mmh , I really don't know what I would want to chose to be my topic.. I think I will have to search some topics and the decide which one I like best. Which ever one that is, I guess that's going to be my topic that I will focus on. Anyways, I think that I would want to represent my topic by writing it in like a letter form..
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure which incident I will choose from, but I know it's going to be native american related. This doesn't really interest me that much but I prefer it over some of the other options. Native americans didn't write things down so writing a letter has been ruled out. I hate poetry so I probably won't do that. I suppose i'll have to try and pull off a song or viddy then.
ReplyDeleteWhat interests me about my topic is that I think Europe is cool so that's why I picked Armenia. I'm trying to decide if I'm gonna do a poem or a letter.
ReplyDelete-The thing that interest me about this topic is that I am able to do the on that I want. I am thinking about doing a rap, letter, or I movie. I am trying to think on which one is the best idea then chose from that. I have chosen to do the holocaust because I really want to learn about this topic.

me and diamond are planning to make a movie I think, and also might write letters home to the families of both Jews and German people. And we chose this because...... its fun!!

ReplyDeleteWhat interests me about this topic is why did they target children the most? What could have the government possibly gain from keeping children and torturing them.

- This whole project doesn't interest me at all . I'm not sure what I am going to do . I really don't like or care for the choices you gave us . i haven't chosen one yet . so i'm not sure what will make or help me chose one .

I think I'm going to write a letter because it's something new to do for an assignment. It will also be a challenge because I have not a clue to write about.

ReplyDeleteI picked the Cambodia Massacre, there wasn't any particular reason why, I just randomly chose it. I'm not doing any one of those, instead I'm going to do a monologue, which I think will be interesting.

ReplyDeletewhat topic i chose is that sudan i think it interest me because it like in 2003 and i thought that it ended way before that. I want to do a letter because im kinda good a writing. I choose this because i think this what im good at it. So imma go for it.
ReplyDeleteI want to do the genocide in Sudan because it interests me. Last year I learned about the genocide and watched a documentary on it. I learned that many people were being kidnapped and lots of young boys were taken in and forced to be part of the military group that was against the government. It made me really sad and want to learn more about why it was happening. I can't decide between a photo essay or a letter. I think a letter will be very informative but I also think a photo essay will be interesting and make people wonder what it's about.

ReplyDeleteI'm not too sure about my topic yet. If my idea is approved I will research all sorts of genocides to get a generalized feel of the victims. If I can do that, will be able to get a real feeling in my mockumentary. I could take in the racism or whatever was used as an excuse to kill so many people and apply it directly to the situation I created in my head. If it doesn't work out I still don't really know which specific genocide I want to research. I'm thinking of Bosnia, but I'm not too sure yet. I know that I can find something short notice and make something good, but the project I want to do seems like it could fit; it could also be fun. A lot of people have agreed to help me make it look real, like it could have actually happened, and I think it would be more interactive this way. The genocides being researched actually happened and for people to realize that is uncomfortable and a bit disheartening. If I can create a situation that isn't real, but seems like it could be, then people will be interested while still getting the feeling of what happened, and how big something like that is.
