World Literature (4/25)

How do YOU locate a topic for an essay when asked to write an essay without a specific topic?

  1. Most of the time, I just write an essay about what I am interested in at the time. I am always reading about something, and I often find out about something else through that reading, so I read about that, and so on. For example, in Science I picked up a random textbook and read about plants that reproduce without seeds. It was pretty awesome. Or I might write an essay about the Battle of Stalingrad, which was a rejected candidate for my newsreel project in World History.

In short, there is always a topic on my mind that I could write about.

  4. You choose a topic that you can write a lot about. Not something that you have barely anything to say about. I would also choose one that I can easily find correct information about not an essay that would take me forever to find enough information just for one paragraph. Also I have to be interested in it so my essay is not boring and actually nice to read. Not something that you want to not even look at it since it is so unattractive.

And now I have nothing left to say so I will say MY FAVORITE FOOD WAS CEREAL :D I love cereal so much I eat cereal for almost every meal everyday now. Yum yum in my tum tum cereal is sooooooo gooooooooood :D

  5. I write about something that interests me or something stupid. For example, my cheesepuff essay. That was pretty fun to write.

  6. I would usually be about something personal that I like and not a random thing.

Hello. My name is Mariah. Also known as Mariah. I am bored. I don't have anything to say so I'm just saying random shtuff. And yes shtuff is a word. Well not according to the dictionary but according to me it is. So ya............If I made a dictionary the word shtuff would be a word. I'm gonna add shtuff to the dictionary on my laptop. Now it's in the dictionary. Bye.

  7. I never have the opportunity to choose what I want to write about in an essay so therefore I wouldn't know.

  9. - I ask people for suggestions and advice on what I should do . I brainstorm . I go for topics I've had experiences and or know what the topic is about .

  10. If I am asked to write about something specific, normally I just think about what I know the least about that topic. That way when I write an essay about it I learn about it. Then I build on what I already know.
If I'm just asked to write about anything then I'll probably look up some random topics and try to tie them together somehow. That works most of the time, and I learn more about some randomly chosen topics!

  11. I try to find a part of the topic that interests me. I use the internet, books, and ask friends and/or family for ideas.

  12. UMM... I try to find something that I think is interesting at the time to me. But at the same time I like to be kind of different, and think of things that most people wouldn't think about..

  13. - ; I try to find things that im passionate about or something that will keep my interest. I dont like to be bored so i refuse to pick a boring topic. If the topic is boring, I wont do my best and then my grade will be bad and then i'll get mad and then more problems will occur. So thats why i like to choose things or topics that i like.
