Since we have been juggling assignments for the last few weeks, let's take a few minutes and reflect on your progress and understanding of the Witness/Genocide Creative Research Project. What aspects of the project do you understand and enjoy and what aspects of the project do you question? You have about a week to finish collecting your detailed notes. What can you do to successfully complete this stage?

ReplyDeleteI know that we have to take notes about a genocide and do something creative involving a witness of said genocide. I find the note part boring, but once I have all my sources together i'll be fine.

ReplyDeleteThere's nothing really that I don't understand or question. I understand the project pretty well.
What can you do to successfully complete this stage?
There's isn't really any.
-Something that I can do to successfully complete this stage is to focus more on the project.

I enjoy that we get some liberty to choose which genocide to research on. I question on why do we need so much research when we really have to do a poem, song, documentary, or letter. It doesn't take so much knowledge for this.
ReplyDeleteTo complete this stage I need to focus and even take my time at home to finish this because I am falling behind a bit and that isn't good.
I need to get more focus because im not focus at all cause i have another big project that i have to do also. So i have to work out something to get me focus.
ReplyDeleteTo make this a successful stage is to focus more and ask for help because I am not getting anywhere by sitting here.For the teachers need more help!
ReplyDeleteI kind of don't know what to do on this project. I mean, what do I need the notes for if I'm writing it in a letter format?? I just don't get this whole assignment, especially since we have been rarely working on it. To me if I try to juggle different assignments, I am going to focus more on one assignment than the other. Then when we are done with one assignment and we go back to our assignment that we already started, I'm going to forget about what I was supposed to do for that assignment. I'm done now.................................................

- ; I`ve just really started doing my project & Taking notes . I picked a Genocide that people really dont know about , Its something called "Rape Of Nanjing" . But a way i can successfully complete this stage is to be really focused and be on top of my work . Oh and catch up in my work !

I understand the point of the assignment. Looking at other genocides that have happened in the past can help us understand them. I have to do some make-up work because I have been gone for a few days.
ReplyDeleteThe project is pretty cool. Although I do question the research part somewhat. I mean, if it's a creative project, why do we have to take notes like we're writing out college thesis? I suppose it's to make sure that we actually know what our chosen events are all about, but I feel like it's sort of drying the project out.
ReplyDeleteOther than that it's pretty dece. It's interesting to learn about the Bosnian genocide since I knew almost nothing about it. And it happened so recently! How is that possible? I am still learning the answer to that.
I fully understand the project and I think it's cool that we get to do it any way we want. I got everything I need to know about my genocide.
ReplyDeleteI've selected my genocide already, but i still dont have 3 sources and i haven't taken notes.
ReplyDeleteI know that im suppose to be studying a genocide that has happened and create something cool and creative. Like a photo essay that consist of photos from the genocide that im researching. UMM the only part that im not liking is the taking notes part. I think its pretty long and its kind of challenging because there is not a lot of information just out in the open to where i can google and get 8532790579234973 links full of info. Im ready to get creative and see what i can do with this project. Im thinking of doing something like a photo essay or a digital montage of things.

ReplyDeleteI like the project but i haven't been any research because i been sick but im working on it slowly but it going to be good when i finish it. I also think that what i have found is some good stuff.
ReplyDeleteI really think that I need to take more notes, but I have most of the knowledge in my head so I feel like I don't have to take notes, but I know it will help me in the end. I find this project interesting, but difficult at the same time I mean I can only find a little bit about it on the internet, but I have a lot from a couple of years ago.

ReplyDeleteTo complete my notes to get ready to write my letter for the project. I really need to buckle down and focus on my notes because right now I don't really have any. Because I have been working on other stuff. It's hard.
I feel that i can get through on my projects no matter how many we have going on at the same time but i can get them done by staying focused on them and concentrating as hard as i can and if i need help i can definitely ask the teacher if im stuck....other than that i know i can do it
ReplyDeleteHonestly I'm still puzzled, about everything. I'm sorry, my comprehension is like -2 and it takes me six thousand years to finally start understanding. It all seems so unclear.. or maybe that's just my brain. With big projects like this, keep in mind that mostly I am about five steps behind where I should be normally.

I think this whole trying to juggle assignments is starting to get irritating. Because it's like we don't have time for anything. Like choose one! stop trying to add all type of extra stuff ..
ReplyDeleteI think that since there is two different activities going on in class we don't really get as much class time as needed for this assignment.
ReplyDeleteI think the project for me is going okay! Because I like the fact that I'm learning something that's interesting. But the only thing that I'm not liking is that we have to take notes. I think that, that takes up to much time. Because when you take notes you have to be very organized during the process. But overall, it's not that bad of a project..
ReplyDeleteI like researching this topic and I am excited to start writing! I am a little bit nervous about getting all of the notes, but I will get it done as quickly as possible. It is hard collecting notes because for every few notes I also have to find a quote to go with it.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try to complete taking notes in time, but there is a small chance that I will not be able to do so. I will try my hardest to get all the notes done.
