World Lit. (5/16)

Based on the character-building activities we did last week, make a list of values that are keeping your character alive during the genocide they are experiencing. Explain why each value is important to your character.

Dreams-She wants to follow her dreams.
Fame-She wants to be a famous doctor when she is older.
Helping other people-She loves helping others.
Truth-She wants to be able to tell the world what happened in the genocide and to do that she has to survive.

  2. I think my character's only value (that would help him survive) is being a witness. The way I see it, I kind of want to make his story one of luck and chance. That is not to say that he is not a good person who deserves to live, he is. But I want to make it (at least from his point of view) seem that he was meant to die, but by luck and chance he did not. However, in retrospect, he will see himself as having a responsibility to tell others what had happened, because he believes that he was spared for a reason. He doesn't see himself as the most valuable survivor (he watched teachers, good workers, and good people die), so he sees that his only reason for living is spreading the word.

  5. -I value my life, Money, Freedom, Are open and honest.
the reason I value these things is because everybody should be happy that they are a live and then they can make a difference in the world and become something important to everybody. Also I value money because you can not live if you have no money because life is money. Another thing is freedom. I value freedom because I can do what I want and am able to do what every other person that is free can do. Finally I value honesty because if you are not honest you are nothing which means why live and I value you life so I a going to be honest and say what I want to say.

  7. - ; My character has alot of affection, helping society and public service because she cares about people and wants to be like a super hero , Like helping everyone all the time ! She has an after school club that helps girls talk about their lives and what goes on at home . She has honesty because she tells the truth no matter what! She has purity because she is still a virgin and that ties in with her religion . She believes she should be a virgin until she's becomes married. I would keep going but she has way to many values, You'll learn more about her later !!

  8. Personally, I don't think the character-building activities are helping me with creating a character. They just make my mind go blank. I would probably work better if I was at home, where it is quiet, so I can focus more and be more creative.

  20. My character is more of the communist leader (a.k.a badguy) of my story, he isn't really in the story, he just starts the whole problem. He's just the main focus kind of like Hitler was.
Leadership. He has a vast amount of political knowledge (but the rest of his education is a bit higher than highschool level). So he knows where to press the buttons to get a proper reaction.
He's super patriotic of Earth, and finds it superior to other planets.
Very influencing of others. He knows exactly what to say to get you on his side, doesn't matter which angle you're coming from. It was how he was able to get the masses to agree with him on exploding a whole planet.
    A lot of status.
