If I were in pi’s situation the way I would survive would to just leave the bengle tiger alone and feed him when he gets hungry so that he wouldn’t eat me and I would hide in the back of the boat under the tarplin so that it could get a little warm in stead of me sitting out there in the cold rain with the tiger. I would drink the water really slow so that I could have enough water to last me until I reach a island or someone comes looking for me and finds me. During the day would just paddle untile it becomes night and then when it’s night time I would go to sleep until I just wake up and feel like paddling.
If I was in Pi’s situation I would try and keep the tiger alive. The reason I said this is because I would not want to be on the boat by myself because then I would be bored. Another thing that I would do is try and teach Richard Parker how to be trained. I think that is a good idea because then Richard Parker and I could try and get saved together and I will have my own pet. Now if Richard Parker tried to kill me I would have to take things in a different matter and kill him. If I succeeded at that then I would try and get help as soon as possible so that I can actually get saved. Until Richard Parker tries that I want to keep him alive so that I can have somebody to talk to. That is how I what I would do if I was in Pi’s situation. -Diamond
I don't really think I would be able to survive. Honestly, I would want to pet the tiger and then it would probably kill me. I love cats and if I was alone on a boat with a giant cat, I would get lonely being on the little life jacket raft and I would want to go over to the tiger and pet it.
If it was a different deadly animal that I didn’t like or thought was ugly like a snake or a gorilla, I probably wouldn’t want to even go near it. I would probably do the same things that Pi does to keep the animal on it’s side of the boat.
I would just like to say that if I ever go on a cruise again or a boat on an ocean, I am bringing this book with me in a plastic bag and keeping it with me at all times while I am on the boat so if the ship sinks, I will have the book to help me survive.
If you were in Pi’s situation, how would you survive ?
I think that if I was in Pi’s situation that I wouldn’t have a chance. So, yeah I think that I would die, because I’m on a life boat with a 400 pound male tiger. The tiger could eat me alive, no doubt about it. But then, again if I were to act like I was “big man on campus”, maybe I would have a chance of living. I would have the tiger tricked into thinking that I’m way more powerful than it’s self. But that role could only last for so long. But, I guess you never know until you try, right?..
With all honesty I don't believe I would survive. If I were in Pi’s situation I would be completely awe struck. Amazed with pure shock that I would be surprised if I didn’t die of surprise, pressure and pure desperate anguish. If I didn’t die I would probably would be killed by drowning in the water from the lack of swimming abilities and the harsh conditions. If I were to somehow make it through all of this then I might as well call myself a survivor. I mean how often is a human made to suffer that much plus the burden of your entire family dead in less than 3 hours as well as the chances of getting saved. I wouldn’t be able to think as wisely as Pi. I would end up doing the stupidest thing to do on a boat full of animals. I could never stand up to a tiger and show that I am dominant and I wouldn’t dare go near it in fear of dying. Then again though, what do I have to loose? A tortured death. Dying of thirst and beating heat is torture as well. So maybe just maybe I could possible stand up to a tiger. So maybe possible I would be doing around the same as Pi unless I lost all hope and killed myself instead. Talk about survival ._.
Well I think if I was in Pi’s situation, I would probably do just about the same things as Pi. Now, a lot of those things are pretty horrible, like killing and eating raw fish and turtles and taming a tiger and all that. But I think there was an important chapter somewhere in there where Pi talks about humans being very adaptable creatures. And I think that is very right. If you look around the world, you get people doing a lot of different things, eating very different foods and living in very different climates. So, even though the thought of doing some of the things Pi did is quite scary, as long as my will to live is strong, I can exist in pretty much an situation. At first I would be reluctant to do what is necessary, living in fear and eating my rations, but eventually, like all of those other survivor books, I would get used to it.
If I was in Pi's situation, I probably wouldn't have lasted as long as he had. If I was on a boat with a zebra, a hyena and a tiger, I would have been scared for my life. All I would have done was just sit there and try not to draw any attention to myself. When the animals fight with each other, that would be the time I would go and find food. They are too busy trying to eat one another that they wouldn’t have paid any attention to me. So I would quickly go and find food and finish it before the fight is over. But in reality, I would not move from my spot on the boat. I would not have made a sound or draw any attention to myself. I wold have died before any other animal on the boat because of starvation and dehydration.
If I was in Pi’s situation I would stay on the boat, and whatever happens is my destiny so I really would not care if i were to die on the boat by the tiger. Obviously if i were to die god wanted me to die so therefore I would stay on the boat. I think if Pi were to decide to stay on the boat, and maybe be kind to the tiger I think the tiger would be less violent towards Pi. In the book Pi decides to make a little life boat that can nearly fit himself on it so he has to keep coming back, and fourth to get water, food, maybe pills ect. So I think it would be easier to just stay in the boat instead of going back and fourth a million times. I also do not think that the tiger will hurt him willingly it will take Pi to do something drastic before the tiger just decides to kill him.
If I was in Pi’s situation I would probably be scared and would not know what to do. I would have got really scared when I saw the hyena kill the zebra and Orange. I would try to be silent and look around to see if I see anything ahead of me. I would look for anything on the boat to see if it can help me. I would cry myself to sleep knowing that I am all alone with no family by my side. I would try my past to not go to sleep because I would be scared that the hyena would try to get me. When I found the first aid kit I would first look for something to drink or something to eat before I past out. After that, I would look to see if there is anything that I can use to help me make it.
If I was in Pi’s place I probably wouldn’t survive. However, if I had a chance to i’d try to avoid anything dangerous as much as possible. But If I get desperate, killing the tiger would be the next best option. Feeding the tiger something poisonous would probably be an easier way to kill it. However, it might be a challenge to get the tiger to eat something that I give it. Also, whatever poison I put in the food might not kill it. In that case, i’d then have a pissed off angry tiger when it recovered. The chances of me beating the crap out of a tiger are none, so i’d be ripped to shreds and eaten.
I don't think I would survive. I guess I would try to avoid the tiger at all costs. Because I don't think I could kill it. So, I would just hope that the tiger wouldn't do anything to me.
If i was Pi and if I was in his situation I would respect the tiger. I would not make eye contact so it will make it seem that I am not a threat. I will also will not crouch down I would make my self tall to show that I am bigger and that would make my self less likely to get eaten. I would give give some food and keep him full and that he would depend on me for food and would not want to eat me because if he ate me there would be no more food. I would play it smart, rationing everything. It would go in the ocean in shifts to keep my self cool not staying in the water for more than 5 minutes. I would fish and use Pi's contraption, and feed the fish to my big orange friend.
If i were in Pi's situation i would probably do whatever i can to kill one of those animals. I would get the the tiger and the orangutan to fight and which ever one dies i would eat it and which ever one is alive i would trick it to get off the boat and drown to death after it drowns i would make a spear out of the oar and stab it and pick it back up on the boat. When i get it on the boat i would shave its fur and skin off and use it for a blanket and take the guts of the animal and use them as fish bait. If any of these things fail i will most likely die. But i would still try to kill an animal just for the fun of it.
I'm sure I would sit still, and wait until Richard Parker was pretty damn fast asleep, then go search around the ship to find food stuffs. I'm sure that in the end I wouldn't actually live, but I sure would try. I'm sure that if I could my first priority would be to get rid of that tiger. I think I would try poisoning it. I don't know if poisoned meat is edible though... ANYHOW. I would use that solar water getter thingiemahoodads that you put in the water and it evaporates and whatnot. Then I think I would learn to fish out of necessity. In the end I still don't think I would live through this all. Then there's that freaking tiger that might not die from dose of human poison I mean damn.
If I was in Pi's situation I would stay calm and respect the tiger by not making any contact to show him that I wouldn't be a threat to him so he could kill me
Well if I was in Pi's place I would not survive. But when I was still alive I would only eat one time a day and find a way to make the salt water fresh water. I make such to stay as far away from the tiger as possible. Of course this wouldn’t last for ever so the next thing I would do was what Pi did. I would fish for fish so that I could eat and I would also feed the tiger so that he wouldn’t eat me. I believe that I would die. I would die of heat I would just cook in my skin, but if there was no sharks I would jump in the water just for a little bit to cool off. I still would be scared that I would die this way and I would pray for it to be over and sleep as long as I could, because your body heals when you sleep. -Chumani Wayd
If I was in Pi's place I would just try to stay calm and do what I had to do and try to find things to help me survive. I would be really scared and nervous because honestly who wants to just die with out putting in work?... I know I don't but I would just try my hardest and really think of what I could do to survive. I think that If I just took a second to realize what was going on and not panic and find a water supply or anything to make sure I survived I would be good. But I think the only way I wouldn't survive is by going crazy, panic-ing or just start thinking way to hard I wouldn't make it! I believe if you want to survive your gonna do what ever you need to do to survive and find things to make sure you do survive!. That’s what I think I would do if I was in Pi’s place.
If I was in pi's situation the first thing I would do is gather all of the food and water and supplies together, then I would create some sort of barrier between me and the animals and divide the boat into two sections. I would probably use the oars and various supplies to create some sort of a wall for protection. Then I would just wait it out I guess, let the animals fight it out and just wait to be rescued. I would also eat only a little bit a day to conserve food and water. I might even try and get the animals off the boat, but I'd probably just stick to my plan.
If I was in Pi's situation I would've tried to get rid of all the animals on the boat so I could stay on it. I would try my best to eat as little as possible during the day so my food will last me a long time. I would catch rain water and store it in the boat. I would make a shelter with the tarpaulin and try to keep warm. I would be very lonely and bored so I would try to occupy myself by fishing or other things.
If i was in I would try to build a fish pool. I would also try to build a wall between me and the tiger. I will feed the tiger so it don’t try and eat me. i will fish a whole bunch of fish like a week worth so the tiger don’t be hungry. I probably would try to tame it. I will probably try to teach not to eat me eat the fish. I will tell it to eat anything that comes on the boat except for me. I would try to stay from it as far as i can. I think I will not try to my scared of it a be brave. I hink when the henia was on the boat I will tell probably told him to eat that thing. I think that I will try to but those one thin the the zebra so I T don’t feel so much pain.
I was in pi situation i would stay as far away from the tiger as i could. I would set up a plan to see how much i could eat and drink each day. I think i would probably shoot off a flare gun once just to see if anybody notices it. If i ever see any land i would go try to get to the land and i would leave the tiger on the boat. When the food supply is low i would fish for food i would also feed the tiger so it wouldn’t get hungry and try to eat me. Since the bengal tigers can drink salt water somehow then i wouldn’t have to give the tiger any of my water.
If i was in pis situation , i would keep the tiger because maybe then the tiger could also help you survive bcause if the tiger is going without food or water then the tiger would die of but within the time you would need him to stay alive and when he does die, i would eat him as my food source and that would keep me alive. But before he would die i would keep him company so we both dont die of bordom and maybe he would be an atraction to.....
If I were in Pi’s situation I think that I would die. I believe that I would die because the tiger might kill me. I would do my best to avoid the tiger and let him do his own thing. There’s not many places for me to hide on a twenty five foot boat. But I would try to stay on one side of the boat while the tiger is on the other side. If the tiger started to walk towards me, then I really wouldn’t want know what to do. I might just punch the tiger in the nose, I have nothing to lose. If I hit the tiger on the nose( Which probably won’t work) then it might show the tiger that I am the dominant one on the boat. So then I wouldn’t have to worry about being ate. But that’s just what I think.
If I was Pi I would try to do any to keep myself a live. I would first make sure that I feed the tiger for he want eat me an thinks I'm his friend. Then I will go fetch me something to eat so i would not starve the death. I will try to be calm in till of of this is over. But I think I really don't what I was going through I will panic and would not know what to do at that point. I might had killed my self maybe because i really don't like animals at all so I don't think would had survive. I would thought that all the animals would have tried to kill me.
I highly doubt that I would survive. While Pi has had many years of training with animals, I have had the exact opposite. While Pi has been interacting with animals since he was a small child, while I have never even had the Animal Channel. I guess I would try to do what Terry Jo Duperrault did in the 1960’s. From what I understand, when Duperrault was on her raft floating at sea, she did everything for survival. I believe she had a small amount of water that she took a sip from everyday, but no more, and no less. She only had enough to help her survive. She did not do any extra physical work to preserve energy. She always tried to make herself be visible when ever she could. Preserving water, energy, and making herself visible helped Duperrault, so I guess I would just have to hope that it would have the same effect for me. Obviously, there are a few differences. One being that I would have a tiger with me, but on the bright side, I would of had a bigger boat to be on. Which would also help with being visible.
if i wasin his postion i would have keep all the animals an that where dead on the boat so i could eat them then bait the food so that the tiger would go in the water then stab it with the oar until i givs up trying to get in the boat.
ReplyDeleteI guess I would try to do what Terry Jo Duperrault did in the 1960’s.
