I usually read in my room. I need an environment that is fairly quiet or I need to listen to music. I get distracted very easily so I need an environment that I can concentrate. I hate when there are people talking around me because it distracts me greatly and I end up reading the same paragraph or even just the same sentence over and over again. I end up sticking on the same page or skipping it without even knowing what had just happened in that page.
Wherever it's quiet is fine. I also can't read in cars and things because I feel ill. I usually read at home in my room and sometimes at the library. But like I said, wherever is fine as long as it's quiet. Oh and parks too.
When I want to read I go to my room, so I can be all alone. The kind of environment I read in, is an environment that's quiet, where I can listen to music at the same time to help me concentrate.
-I need to be in a group of people that is reading out loud so that I would not have to read. Also I need the book to be intresting so that I will want to read on my own or with a recording.
When I want to read, I go to my room because it is quiet. I need more of a quiet environment when I read books. I can't read in a crowded, noisy area. When I read, I sometimes plug in my headphones. Music helps me concentrate on the book.
I can mostly read anywhere. My family often tell me that when I read I cancel out everything else except the book. I've read at train stations, libraries, public places, bathtub, blah blah. I don't really need a special place to read, as long as I can get comfortable I can read.
I like to read anywhere really. I prefer to read on the bus or in the car when going places to make the car ride more fun. I sometimes read in my room right my be for I go to bed, the the whole time I have to listen to music to help me concentrate.
I often read on the city bus. Or i go somewhere that i know no one will talk to me at all. Or when i have a free time and there is nothing else better to do and im alone i will crack out a book and read.
When I want to read, I usually just go somewhere quiet where no one can talk to me. It's annoying when I'm trying to read and I keep getting interrupted. I usually go to my room because that's the most quiet place.
When I'm reading I like to be in my room, with the radio on low. So I can listen to music at the same time as I'm reading that seems to help me understands what I'm reading. I also like to read in the summer time by the pool or with a blanket under a tree or in the sun.
When I want to read a good book, I bring it up to the boundary waters with me in the summer when I work as a dish washer at a camp. Before I head up north for the summer, I always go to half priced books.
The reason why I read in the boundary waters is, besides music and conversation that I create, it's the only entertainment that is available. Being an insomniac when everyone else is trying to sleep is not fun, because nobody wants to here banjo music when trying to sleep, and talking is bothersome but, reading a book only takes up a little bit of darkness and replaces it with light.
When in the city, I read on air planes, cars, when I'm sick, and sometimes when I'm done with homework.
(Also, thanks for letting us read Life of Pi for an assignment!!! I highly suggest the book Ishmael)
- It depends, on if I feel like listening to music, or I want it quite. If I don't want it quite then it doesn't matter where I read. If I want it quite then Ill go find somewhere quite and somewhere I can concentrate.
I go to a quiet room to read because When someone talks to to I get distracted really fast and I cant listen to music because than I would be singing the lyrics than reading the book.

ReplyDeleteI go to my room to read. I think it is the best environment when to read at because it is quite and there is nothing to distract you, but yourself.

ReplyDeleteI like to just be alone. For me reading requires silence, Its very difficult to read when there's any noise at all.
ReplyDeleteIf I want to read I usually go to my room or if I'm at school, I'd go to a quiet place or at least a place where I wouldn't get distracted.
