World Literature (2/3)

What is the biggest difficulty when completing multiple choice tests on reading passages?

  1. Definitely understanding the questions and answers. You have to be so careful when interpreting the words, because they are often subject to perspective and opinion. So you have to read everything very carefully so that you understand what they are talking about.

  2. When they use words I don't know or understand. That is what I find the most difficult or trick questions which have 2 similar answers that could be right but you have to choose the best one. That is usually what confuses or messes me up.

  3. When there is 2 answers that are completely opposite and you don't know what the question is asking so you pick one and it ends up being the opposite one and you feel stupid.

  4. -The thing that I have a problem with on the reading test is that when I do not know the answer i am going to guess. Also When the answer is at the end of the passage I will not read the whole thing I will just guess on the whole thing.

  6. The biggest difficulty when completing multiple choice passages is actually sitting there and reading through the question. in stead of quick reading it and guessing on the question.

  7. The biggest difficulty would probably have to be the tricky questions when you have to figure out what the word means in he passage. It says its one thing but it ends up being something completely different.

  8. I dont have any difficulty with the multiple choice reading tests except getting bored and giving up. I always do well but get bored during the test then just stop trying.

  9. The biggest difficulty of completing multiple choice tests on reading passages are when they ask you what a word means and having to pick between two answers that are similar to each other.

  10. The biggest difficulty is how they word the questions or the answers. Most times they'll have an obvious wrong answer in one of the choices but sometimes they can be tricky. I have difficulty picking out the right answer because of this. If the reading is boring, concentration can be nearly impossible and the questions will be 10x harder.

  11. There could be multiple correct answers or there is possible that one sounds better then another, but the one is wrong. I way they use the words can be difficult when trying to answer the question.

  12. Interpreting what the questions are saying is kind of hard. They word the sentence differently to try to make you think hard. The answers can mess you up too. You need to read the story, questions, and answers carefully to get the right one.

  13. My biggest issue with completing multiple choice tests from reading passages is, rushing. I often feel as if I don't have enough time to finish a test so I rush and everything goes to hell in a hand basket.

  14. The biggest difficulty when completing multiple choice tests on reading passages is when they all seem very similar and you have to work the left side of your brain to make the best choice.

  15. Its hard for me to read boring stories on the test because it makes me sleepy. Then, I usually end up skimming through the reading which makes it hard to answer the questions later on. Which, results in me guessing the answer only because I did not feel like reading the story.

  16. The biggest difficulty for me is reading and going to the questions and its something i need to go back to the passage for. I often find myself having to read all over the whole text again to find the place i need to read over to go back and answer the question.

  17. Well, I really hate it when the questions are badly written, which is almost all the time. They use weird sentence structure and are very hard to understand let alone answer. I also like simple questions, I hate the ones that go into extreme detail and then give you answers that all could be correct.

  18. I think that that the biggest difficulty is that there could be two answers. But you have to pick which one is the better answer. There is usually one that is obviously wrong so you can take it out and there is usually two that you are left with.

  19. I guess the biggest problem is that sometimes the answers are super vague or really similar.
Question: "Why did the dogs run?"
    A. They ran because they saw rabbits.
    B. They ran because the rabbits ran away.
    C. They ran because of the rabbits.
    D. They ran because the rabbits ran.
Of course the answer is B because the rabbits were running away from them, but all of the answers answer the question correctly... It's just that one of them is a little more specific than the rest. So.

  20. I think that because it hard to pick multiple choice because when you read you probably want to write it out.I also think sometimes it not the right words you be looking for

  21. Usually the biggest problem is understand the question and the answers. During reading tests especially you may not understand what the question really meant until after you've pressed 'next'.

  22. The biggest difficulty is trying to find the best answer when you don't know the answer. And when you have to read the longs reading ever and it's difficult to remember what you read.

  23. The biggest difficulty is that the questions always try to trick you and you just sit there for a long time trying to figure it out. Trying to make sure you got the right answer.
