World Literature (2/24)

Rain is falling, waves are high, and you are in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. You see a tiger swimming towards your boat. Will you save the tiger? Why or why not?

  1. Well I think if the tiger is appealing for my help, it won't be hostile towards me. of course, I am not a tiger expert, but it just seems to make sense. Sure, animals can be impulsive and inconsiderate, but they are not stupid. Plus there is that zoomorphism thing. So if I save the tiger it may see me as something other than prey.

  2. I would want to save it because I love animals and cats are my favorite animal but if I saved the tiger, I would want to pet it and then it would kill me. So I don't know what I would do...

  3. I would NOT save the tiger. The reason why is because if I do save the tiger I would have to stay on the boat with it. When it gets hungry, it will eventually eat me. I don't want to get eaten by a tiger. I want to live to see another day.

  4. I probably would want to but I would hesitate while thinking of saving him. Of course I would want to but tigers are not cats they are big carnivores. If I was able to be as brave as a circus tiger tamer then yes I would, because not only would I be able to keep it in check but keep it safe and if there are more animals on the boat then it might keep me safe from them.

  5. I think that I will save the tiger because it is a pretty tiger. Also I will feel bad if I was a death of a animal. Now if the tiger tried to turn on me then I would have to kill it so that I can have food to eat and clothes on my back.

  7. Yes I would because I love animals. I think I will be very scared though because it's a big tiger, but it should look very innocent because it is trying to swim witch it really can't so yes I would help the it.

  8. Well, probably not. I'm going to probably die if I'm in the middle of an ocean but i'd rather it be from starvation or drowning then a tiger ripping me apart. Then again, I like kitties so I might save it. It depends on how long i'd have to be stuck with it.

  9. Well, I guess that depends on how long I'm expecting to be on a lifeboat. If we just got off shore why wouldn't I save it? If I hadn't seen land in days then no I wouldn't save it. Because... It's a tiger. I would rather be alone and miserable than with a tiger and miserable. So no,I wouldn't save it.

  10. I don't think I would. The tiger may or may not want to eat me, but I wouldn't want to take a chance.

  12. Well I feel like I would save the tiger hoping that since I saved him he wouldn't hurt me, but if the tiger ended my life I would know it was meant to be. No I would be scared out of my life if I did save the tiger I would always make sure it was on the opposite side of the boat to make sure I don't die. - Chumani Wayd

  14. If I saw a tiger swimming towards me in the ocean, I would probably save it because I love animals. I also, wont want to see any animals die in the water because then I would feel bad for not saying them. So yes I would save the tiger.

  17. I would save the tiger at first because it is helpless. If it wasn't acting savage and all crazy I would let it stay on the boat. If it started getting hungry then I might have to kick it off the boat. But other then that, I would save the tiger because it is a helpless animal that doesn't deserve to die.

  18. NO I most likely wouldn't save the Tiger. Tigers are known for eating people and being blood thirsty killers. I would let the tiger drown to death. Besides, how am I supposed to get a tiger on my boat anyway?

  19. No i wouldn't because, What if the tiger gets hungry? Then it would try to eat me and the only thing i would be able to do is jump off then either way i would die.

  20. I would save the tiger but also protect my self at the same time. The tiger is helpless and even tho it could kill me it would help it safely.

  21. It all depends on if I have known the tiger for a while. If I haven't then I would find something else for it to climb on and push that toward it

  22. It I knew the tiger and if it was trained, yes. But, if I did not know the tiger, it's personality, or if the tiger was a loose canon, no. Let's hope that none of us are ever in that situation.

  23. I would not save the tiger, because I know the tiger wouldn't save me. Plus I would be putting my life at risk if I did save the tiger. So yeah, I wouldn't want to take any chances.

  24. - No because I am not an animal person. I'm scared of animals and i won't start being an animal person with the tiger swimming towards me swimming for its life. I just won't do it. Im to scared!
